The BIH Excellence Award for Sex and Gender Aspects in Health Research aims to bring more visibility to sex and gender issues in translational research. It recognizes research excellence among renowned scientists working in the field of basic and/or clinical biomedical research with a substantive focus on sex and gender aspects. In addition BIH wants to bring the laureates’ expertise to Berlin and may nominate you for a research fellowship in Berlin.

A postdoctoral position in cardiovascular research supported by NIH grant is immediately available in the laboratory of Dr Eghbali at UCLA. Candidates should have a Ph.D., or M.D./Ph.D. degree and be highly motivated with interests in cardiovascular research. Experience with in vivo and ex vivo animal models of myocardial infarction, ischemia/reperfusion injury, or heart failure is preferred. Expertise in RNA-Seq and ChIP-Seq and bioinformatics would be a plus.
